Perform Rescue from a Live Low Voltage Panel
Course overview
The Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) course covers the performance of rescue procedures from live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the workplace.
This program is delivered as either an Initial or Refresher Delivery subject to the participants’ currency levels and prior LV rescue certification history.
This course is delivered in a face-to-face classroom environment and contains both theory and practical elements.

Pre-requisites of the course for learners commencing the LVR course as outlined in the unit of competency are:
- HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
and
- UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace
or
- UETDREL006 Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker
Additionally, due to the physical nature of the unit of competency learners must have the physical capacity to be able to rescue/ drag another human to safety and as CPR is a prerequisite the learner must be able to also complete 2 minutes of continuous CPR positioned on the floor.
- You must have basic communication, literacy, numeracy skills and understand and speak the English language that enables the safe performance of rescuing from a live LV panel.
- You must provide, on the 1st day of training:
- two (2) forms of identification, one (1) must include a photo, one (1) must include current address
- evidence of pre-requisite units
- Wear comfortable and practical clothing
- Tea & Coffee is provided.
- Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the commencement of training.
- All course participants have access to a student information book detailing their rights and responsibilities.
An assessment will be conducted at the conclusion of training in both practical and theory components. Competency based assessment practical component requires the participant to successfully complete a series of requested tasks under observation of the assessor, the assessor will then determine a judgement of competency. The knowledge component consists of a written assessment. During the assessment, if the assessor believes your response requires further information or is incorrect, you will be asked further questions to determine the level of your understanding.
Should the participant be deemed not competent, the student has a right to appeal the assessment decision and will be provided with the opportunity to either challenge the assessment or apply for re-assessment within a reasonable time frame. Students have the right to appeal if they are not satisfied with the outcome, according to your rights and responsibilities detailed in the student handbook. Further fees may be applicable for participants that require reassessment.
This course is a Nationally Recognised Accredited Course and applicants deemed competent at the successful conclusion of the course will be provided with a Statement of Attainment and a wallet sized competency card.
It is a requirement in NSW that this course is refreshed every year.

Individual Participants
All courses require a position holding deposit of 50%, you will be advised of the amount at the time of booking. Payment MUST be received within 48 hours of booking the course or the place can be given to another student. The balance will be required prior to the course commencement date. Facilities include Bank Transfer, EFTPOS, Credit Card or Cash.
Please note there is a 1% surcharge for debit card payment and 1.5% surcharge for credit card payment.
Employers/Employment Agencies
Employers/Employment Agencies will be forwarded an invoice upon receipt of booking form. Unless prior agreement has been made, 1 Stop Training Centre’s payment terms are 14-day from the date of the invoice.
Should payment continue to be outstanding beyond the payment terms as stated above, the customer is responsible for all costs including any legal costs and any other fees that are incurred by 1 Stop Training Centre in recovering any outstanding monies.
Should a participant not attend the course/class on the nominated day(s), full fees for that participant will be charged, unless there have been prior arrangements made with 1 Stop Training Centre.
