Course overview
An Articulated Haul Truck ticket will give you the skills to operate an articulated haul truck safely, effectively and efficiently. Your training will include operating with a full load under site conditions. Our friendly trainers are ready to help you be skilled and equipped to work. You will walk away confident in the knowledge you have gained and be industry ready. This assessment only course is delivered face to face either at our Wangaratta Campus or at a customer’s site.
Classes start at 8am.
- Carry out basic earthworks calculations
- Coordinate and communicate planned activities with others at work site
- Carry out approved haulage operations
- Carry out approved dumping operations
- Calculate safe working loads
- Apply site and equipment safety requirements
- Identify faults or defects
- Drive and operate articulated rigid haul truck
- Monitor and manage equipment performance using indicators and alarms
- Understand Haul Truck types, capabilities and characteristics
You must be at least 20 years of age and have a valid Heavy Rigid Licence.
- At the time of booking, you must disclose any medications or disability which may affect your learning or physical ability to conduct safe operation of plant machinery (including any vision impairment)
- You must understand and speak the English language and have the ability to conduct Mathematical Calculations at a level that enables the safe operation of plant machinery
- You must supply your current drivers licence or another form of photo identification
- You are required to wear comfortable and practical clothing and work boots
- Tea & Coffee is provided.
- Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the commencement of training.
The participant is trained/instructed on each competency, the participant must then demonstrate the ability to perform each criterion and will be progressively assessed.
Should the participant be deemed not competent, the student has a right to appeal the assessment decision and will be provided with the opportunity to either challenge the assessment or apply for re-assessment within a reasonable time frame. Further fees may be applicable for participants that require reassessment.
This course is Nationally Recognised Training and applicants deemed competent at the conclusion of the course will be provided with a Statement of Attainment and a wallet sized card.
Individual Participants
All courses require a position holding deposit of 50%, you will be advised of the amount at the time of booking. Payment MUST be received within 48 hours of booking the course or the place can be given to another student. The balance will be required prior to the course commencement date. Facilities include Bank Transfer, EFTPOS, Credit Card or Cash.
Please note there is a 1% surcharge for debit card payment and 1.5% surcharge for credit card payment.
Employers/Employment Agencies
Employers/Employment Agencies will be forwarded an invoice upon receipt of booking form. Unless prior agreement has been made, 1 Stop Training Centre’s payment terms are 14-day from the date of the invoice.
Should payment continue to be outstanding beyond the payment terms as stated above, the customer is responsible for all costs including any legal costs and any other fees that are incurred by 1 Stop Training Centre in recovering any outstanding monies.
Should a participant not attend the course/class on the nominated day(s), full fees for that participant will be charged, unless there have been prior arrangements made with 1 Stop Training Centre.
