Course overview
This course is designed for those who need to operate Boom Lift with a boom length of 11 metres or more. To operate this equipment you are required to hold a nationally recognised WorkSafe Licence to Perform High Risk Work WP class (commonly known as an EWP ticket or Boom Lift ticket). You will also learn to operate other types of EWP equipment including scissor lift, vertical lift, or a Boom Lift with a length of less than 11 metres.
This course is delivered face to face. Classes start at 8am.

- You must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- You will be required to conduct mathematical calculations throughout this course
- You must understand and speak the English language at a level that enables the safe performance of high risk work
- You will be required to undertake a LLN skills assessment prior to commencing the course.
- You must provide, on the 1st day of training:
- two (2) forms of identification, one (1) must include a photo, one (1) must include current address
- Wear comfortable and practical clothing and work boots (safety boots preferred).
- PPE will be provided on the day, however if you have or have access to a high visibility vest or shirt, please bring them with you
- Tea & Coffee is provided.
- Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the commencement of training.
- All course participants will be provided with a student information book detailing their rights and responsibilities.
An assessment will be conducted at the conclusion of training in both practical and theory components. Competency based assessment practical component requires the participant to successfully complete a series of requested tasks under observation of the assessor: the assessor will then determine a judgement of competency. The knowledge component consists of a written assessment. During the assessment, if the assessor believes your response requires further information or is incorrect, you will be asked further questions to determine the level of your understanding. Students deemed not yet competent (NYC) will be provided the opportunity to undergo further training at no extra cost, however, Victorian applicants must be reassessed within 60 days of the initial assessment, fees do apply for each section that requires reassessment. The applicant will be advised at the time of the additional fees as the rate is variable dependent upon the number of NYC outcomes.
This course is a Nationally Recognised Accredited Course and applicants deemed competent at the successful conclusion of the course will be provided with a Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0005 Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more) and RIIHAN301E Operate elevating work platform.
A wallet sized High Risk Licence card will be issued by WorkSafe Victoria once your application has been submitted. (You have 60 days to submit your application online or via the Post Office)

Individual Participants
All courses require a position holding deposit of 50%, you will be advised of the amount at the time of booking. Payment MUST be received within 48 hours of booking the course or the place can be given to another student. The balance will be required prior to the course commencement date. Facilities include Bank Transfer, EFTPOS, Credit Card or Cash.
Please note there is a 1% surcharge for debit card payment and 1.5% surcharge for credit card payment.
Employers/Employment Agencies
Employers/Employment Agencies will be forwarded an invoice upon receipt of booking form. Unless prior agreement has been made, 1 Stop Training Centre’s payment terms are 14-day from the date of the invoice.
Should payment continue to be outstanding beyond the payment terms as stated above, the customer is responsible for all costs including any legal costs and any other fees that are incurred by 1 Stop Training Centre in recovering any outstanding monies.
Should a participant not attend the course/class on the nominated day(s), full fees for that participant will be charged, unless there have been prior arrangements made with 1 Stop Training Centre.
